I am a doctoral student in computer science at the University of Fribourg, where I am part of the AIDOS Lab under the supervision of Professor Bastian Rieck.

During my studies, I focused on topics in machine learning, topology and graph theory, where I applied topological data analysis to the space of outdoor images and analyzed the time-varying graph structure of the Swiss railway network.

In my research, I look into topological and geometric methods for graph machine learning and mathematically interpretable representations, but also into machine learning as a tool for problems in mathematics. At the moment, I am especially interested in generalization in graph neural networks and its connections to foundation models.
